Westport PAL Community:
Flag Football registration will be open until Friday, August 31st so that team assignments and coaches can be finalized.  You can register from the registration tab on your left.  Volunteer COACHES ARE NEEDED, so if you have interest in coaching, please email  .
Last season we joined the NFL Flag Program with great success, which provides us an enhanced experience with NFL team jerseys and flag sets that each player can keep, more resources for our coaches, and a set of rules to encourage more fun for our players.  We are expecting a great season with many town teams at each level and participation from Fairfield, Weston and Wilton at the 1-6 grade levels.
Additional Information:
  • Flag practices: Usually one 60-minute practice per week is sufficient once the season gets started, though a coach may choose to practice more frequently.
    • Practice for 1st and 2nd teams will mainly be held on Friday
    • Practice for 3rd & 4th grade teams will mainly be held on Thursday
    • Practice for 5th through 8th will be at the discretion of the coach based on conflicts
  • The Flag Football season games will begin Saturday, September 8th and run through the early November.
  • Games will be played on Saturdays at Saugatuck Elementary School, Staples, Wakeman and Greens Farms depending on age group and total number of teams.  Tentative start time for all day games will be at 8:00 a.m.  Start time means kick-off.  Teams should arrive early enough prior to kick-off for warm-ups and preparation.
Thank you for your support.
