Westport PAL Girls Lacrosse Fall Clinic Series powered by Minuteman Lacrosse Club!
Westport PAL Girls Lacrosse is proud to announce that our fall programming will be delivered by Minuteman Lacrosse Club this fall! Liv Troy and Bryn Reilly are former Westport PAL and Staples Lacrosse players who successfully continued their play at their respective colleges and are bringing their expertise and coaching skills to the Westport youth!

GRADES 6TH – 8TH
POWERED BY MINUTEMAN LACROSSE
MONDAY AND WEDNESDAY
Middle School Clinics will be focusing on skill development with an emphasis on foundational skills such as stick work, shooting, dodging, defensive footwork, defensive and offensive positioning, general lacrosse IQ, as well as goalie-specific skills.
Time 5:00pm - 6:30pm
Location Doubleday grass fields (behind PJ Romano turf and next to the tennis co)
Levels This clinic is available for players that have had at least 1 season of experience. Players will be separated into groups by skill level. Girls may be moved groups by coaches throughout the 8-week period as needed.
Dates Monday Sept. 4th (Labor Day kick-off) - Wednesday Oct. 25th
Mondays: 9/4, 9/11, 9/18, 9/25, 10/2, 10/9, 10/16, 10/23
Wednesdays: 9/6, 9/13, 9/20, 9/27, 10/4, 10/11, 10/18, 10/25
Cost $515 for both days (8 weeks/16 sessions) or
$300 for Monday only (8 weeks/8 sessions) or

Elementary school clinics will be focused on getting your athletes to love the game. Developing their stickwork, shooting, dodging, defensive footwork, defensive positioning, 1v1, and team building. Our vision for this clinic is to advance your daughter’s lacrosse skills as well as their sportsmanship, while deepening fundamentals across newer players and working with more experienced players to elevate their game.
Time 5:00pm - 6:00pm
Location Wakeman A Field
Levels This clinic is available for players that have had prior lacrosse experience (season of play, clinics, camps, lessons). Players will be separated by skill level. Girls may be moved groups by coaches throughout the 8-week period as needed.
Dates Tuesday Sept. 5th - Thursday Oct. 26th
Tuesdays: 9/5, 9/12, 9/19, 9/26, 10/3, 10/10, 10/17, 10/24
Thursdays: 9/7, 9/14, 9/21, 9/28, 10/5, 10/12, 10/19, 10/26
Cost $355 for both days (8 weeks/16 sessions) or

SUNDAY SPECIAL - Fundamentals (newer or experienced)

This Sunday clinic for Grades 3-8 will allow players to continue progressing through the fall and continue developing skills they may already know or may be learning for the first time. Our Sunday clinic is designed to strengthen and build on fundamentals. Athletes will work closely on form, technique, and development of all aspects of the game.
Time 10:00am - 11:00am
Location Ginny Parker
Levels Clinic is available for all levels of experience. Players will be separated by skill level but will focus on fundamentals. Girls may be moved groups by coaches throughout the 8-week period as needed.

Skills clinics will allow players to continue to develop individual fundamental skills - catching, throwing, cradling, dodging, shooting, ground balls, 1 v 1 play - in a fun instructional environment. Small-sided game-play will also be included.

CANCELLATIONS: We play rain or shine and will only cancel due to unseasonable weather issues, grass field closings (determined by Parks & Rec) or other unforeseen circumstances. Cancellations will not be made up.
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT: (Please see link for more information)
- Girls lacrosse stick
- Mouthguard (no strap), can not be clear or white
- Eyeguard
- Reversible pinnie (if you own one)
- Sneakers/Turf Shoes/Cleats
- Water Bottle - clearly labeled
For players new to lacrosse and not yet ready to commit to equipment purchase, a limited amount of equipment is available to borrow for Fall sessions. Pick up must be arranged in advance.
WESTPORT GLAX REFUND POLICY: Refunds given prior to the start of the clinics will be issued less a $25 administrative fee. Once clinics begin, refunds will be given less a $50 administrative fee.
