If you are interested in playing club lacrosse for the 2023 FALL season or the 2024 SUMMER season you would need to try out during the 2023 summer try out dates. Ambition is holding supplemental tryouts and has availability for players to play this 2023 summer season!

Minuteman Lacrosse Club

***Staples Coaches (and Alum!!) Liv Troy and Bryn Reilly have started a new venture called Minuteman Lacrosse Club which is to provide opportunities for athletes to continue their growth and progress within the sport. This is not a typical “club” experience as there is no team that will be participating in the fall or summer club league. MLC will offer clinics, fitness, and other opportunities throughout the year. Join us this summer for Monday Night Pickup starting on Monday 6/19!

• Thank you to all of you for sending in your $5 pp in advance to help cover the cost of pizza, fruit and drinks. The ice cream truck will be on site($CASH ONLY for ice cream).
• Please make sure you have your girls attend tomorrow night. There are a few girls that have other events but hopefully they can all make it there at least by 7:15 to meet with Coach Bryn. She would like to have a private moment with all our girls to wrap up the season and has something little for them. We will also give Bryn our present from us.

• 7th grade girls vs. 7th grade boys game - Friday 6/9, 4pm @ Ginny Parker

I just wanted to say thank you as well to this whole team (parents and girls). It has been such a pleasure to get to know you all and manage this group this season. What an amazing group of families. Thank you for all of your help throughout the season. You made it easy.

  We also encourage you and your players to watch college and HS lacrosse whenever you can, as players learn a lot this way too. It’s always great when our girls can support our Staples HS players and our assistant coaches (many are Fairfield U players!) when they take the field! Links to game schedules can be found below.

  HELPFUL INFORMATION BELOW

  RSVPs: You should have begun receiving automated RSVP messages 48 hours before practices and games. Please get in the habit of clicking the Green “Yes, I can make it” or Red “No, I cannot make it” button in your email. It is TREMENDOUSLY useful for coaches, an essential for game roster make-up.      

  If you use the SI Play APP, you can RSVP there as well. Our Coaches use these responses to plan practices and lineups for games. If there is no reply.....the coach can’t plan!

   

  Meet Your Coaches/Team Schedule/Calendar: Coaches are listed on the website. Check them out on your team page. While you are at it, stream your schedule right to your calendar so that you get all updates automatically.

  Your team page can be accessed at any time from our webpage (westportpal.org).

  1. 1)  On our website, click on TEAM in the top banner. Choose your team, i.e. Lacrosse 2023 → Travel → Select your Team.

  2. 2)  In the left hand menu, you can choose SCHEDULE, CONTACTS, ROSTER, etc.

  3. 3)  To stream your calendar: On the SCHEDULE page go to “Options” and select “Calendar

     Feed” to add your schedule to your personal electronic calendar.

   

  • Mandatory Equipment For Games & Practices:

  ● Lacrosse stick, eye guard, molded mouthguard, clearly-labeled water bottle, pinnie for practices, jerseys + shorts for games & cleats/turf shoes/sneakers. Warm clothes (hats and gloves too) as needed.

  ○ GIRLS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO PLAY WITHOUT THEIR MOUTHGUARD or EYEGUARD

  ● Players must always wear their GLAX pinnie to every practice!
