Change Team:
HOT tomorrow! Plus additional info PLEASE READ ALL
by posted 05/20/2022

Hi 5/6A!

1) Tomorrow's forecast calls for high temps with an even higher "real feel", plus the turf generally adds at least 10 degrees.

To keep the girls hydrated and fresh, pls let me know if you can bring:

• A tent for our sidelines

• A large cooler with ice and waters (additional sports drinks also welcome)

I strongly recommend the girls start hydrating today, to give them more energy tomorrow and reduce heat sicknesses.

2) Next Wednesday is the High School league Championship finals with 2 of the top 5 teams IN THE COUNTRY participating.
I'd like to have our entire team attend the game! It gives them something to look forward to, female role models to look up to, and helps them make sense of the strategies we teach them. Plus more team bonding is always fun!

It's at 7:00 at Norwalk High School.

Admission is $5 or $10 I believe. Parking can be tough so I'd arrive early. Feel free to drop your daughter off.
** We'll need at least one other chaperone besides me, please let me know if you can be there.

Semi-finals are Monday at 5:00 & 7:00 at Norwalk HS.

3) Can you host our end of the year party? Looking at the week of June 6. Nothing needed to do - no food organizing needed - just let 25 girls and their parents in your backyard  :-D Please contact Shannon Diercksen if you can host! shannon.diercksen@gmail.com

4) Please let me know now any conflicts for the Conny tournament weekend, Iune 4 & 5. It looks like we'll only play on the 5th but we may have the chance to play Sat too.

Thank you and see you tomorrow!!

TIME CHANGE FOR TONIGHT’S practice
by posted 05/17/2022

Dear 5/6A,

Due to reasons laid out below, tonight's practixe will be @ 5:30-6:30 at Ginny. I would like all players to also attend the Staples' Varsity Senior night celebration and at least the first half of their game. It helps solidify the positive connection to their future careers, and honors the game (and our team's player coach and Varsity captain and goalie, plus Millie's sister, Sara DiGiovanni!)

Please wear your pinnie and arrive by 7:15 at the stadium entrance to line up with other PAL players and create a LAX arch for the team to run through!

Senior night festivities start at 7:25, game starts at 7:45.

Any questions please let me know!!

(I will reset the RSVP's for practice but it's ok to not respond to this one. :-D )

Reasons for time change: Staples needs to use Ginny for the game warmups because there's a track meet on the stadium field. Senior night game rescheduled from last night due to weather, so everyone is adjusting. I sincerely appreciate your flexibility and patience!

Please read as it may affect your daughter’s playing time
by posted 05/14/2022

Hi all,

I'm sorry to send this now because we had SUCH a great game, but as of now we have 12 people for tomorrow's game

We had 6 people not RSVP for today's game, so I asked B team girls to stay. We lucked ok because it was hot and we had a large group missing today.

PLEASE use the RSVP system. It's the easiest way for me to keep track as it shows a summary in one place of who's coming.

**Even if you send me an email letting me know she's not coming, please send the RSVP.**

Anybody who hasn't RSVP'd by 24 hours ahead of time will get in the game after any B team players I need to invite.

Thank you for your help!!!

(If you know her schedule now you can use the SI PLAY app to rsvp for future games and practices too!)

Players needed for B team games this weekend
by posted 05/12/2022

Hi all,

The B team is short players for both their games this weekend. If you're able to play, please send me an email and we'll confirm based on how many responses we get.

Saturday 9:30 @ Ridgefield (we play Ridgefield right after, vs 6A).
Sunday 10:30 @ Bronxeville (we play them at home at 2:30).

I expect Ridgefield to be the harder game, unfortunately for the B team game timing. Please consider whether your daughter can handle 2 tough games in a row.

Thank you!!
