The Westport PAL is one of Westport's oldest Youth organizations.
 Established in 1948, the Westport PAL is All About the Kids, youth athletics, 
new sport opportunities, activities for the Westport community and, undergraduate scholarships.

2022 Fall Football Registration is Now Open






The PAL Football Board is happy to announce our Fall football programs.
The registration period opened on May 23rd and will remain open through July 31st. 

By registering your athlete early we will be able to plan for the upcoming season.

The PAL Football Program is committed to supporting the Wrecker Nation and will continue to follow the recommended guidelines of our public health officials.
We will keep you informed of our policies for the upcoming 2022 season.




Our 2022 PAL Football lineup for this Fall 


Flag Football House Program 

Open to boys and girls in grades 1 - 8.  Our program will follow the NFL-based Flag program. 
Designed to provide a fun and safe football experience.  Each athlete will get an NFL team jersey and flag set to keep. 

  Play is divided into 1st/2nd grade, 3rd/4th grade, 5th/6th grade, and 7th/8th grade. 
Our program is guided by NFL Flag rules.  PAL Commissioners will attempt to put rosters together based on schools. 
Practice will be held once per week with a game on Saturday mornings. Westport may participate with other towns such as Weston, Wilton, and Fairfield. 

The season will start the weekend of September 10th.


Modified Travel Flag Football

 Westport PAL Football has partnered with Fairfield County Football League (FCFL) to bring together the Modified Travel Flag Football for 3rd and 4th graders.   

Tackle football options are not available for grades 3 & 4. Certified Coaches will teach safe football fundamentals and key skills.  The program will wear full equipment, but, no tackling. Flags are pulled to down ball carriers. Modified Travel Flag Football is designed for athletes interested in a competitive football experience. 

Our program will follow Flag Football rules.  Coaches will conduct practices in accordance with PAL and high school curriculum and fundamentals. 

Practice will be twice a week with a game on the weekends. Every effort will be made to avoid conflicts with travel soccer. 

Teams will compete against other FCFL town teams with a modified field size 



  • PAL Tackle Football – Westport PAL Football and the Fairfield County Football League will continue to offer our traditional tackle football program for 5th-8th graders in the 2022 season.  Pre-season will begin on Monday, August 15th this year, continuing with 2 weeks of pre-season of practices. FCFL Jamboree taking place on the weekend of August 27th, 28th  The regular season running 8 weeks with single elimination playoffs to follow.  

To ensure a great experience for every player, we will hold tryouts for each position. Teams will practice 3 days per week with a game on the weekend.

Keeping Your Profile Up-to-date

All Westport PAL families can update their contact information at any time. 

It is the responsibility of the LEGAL GUARDIAN who created the family profile to make any changes to address,
phone numbers, email addresses AND adding additional parent/guardian profiles to the player.

Here's how:
1) Click on the 'Edit My Account' tab located on the left margin of the home page.
2) Enter your e-mail address and password.  (Don't know your password, just read the instructions above the data entry box.
Still, have questions?   Go to the Website Help pages located on the home page and all sports tabs.
3) Click on any family member's name and you will have access to change what you need
Westport PAL Policy prohibits coaches and administrative personnel from making changes to member profiles.

Maintaining profiles for athletes, parent/guardian and families is very important. 
All PAL sports rely on the contact information in our database and outdated or incorrect information
may cause you to miss important updates.
